Trailer for Eddie Redmayne's Assassin Series THE DAY OF THE JACKAL

Peacock has released the teaser trailer for its upcoming assassin thriller series The Day of the Jackal, which is based on the book of the same name written by Frederick Forsyth. This is a great trailer, and it looks like it could be a cool show worth checking out!

The series stars Eddie Redmayne as a ruthless assassin named the Jackal, who makes his living carrying out hits for the highest fee. “But following his latest kill, he meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer (Lashana Lynch) who starts to track down the Jackal in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe, leaving destruction in its wake.”

The series is described as “a bold, contemporary re-imagining of the beloved and respected novel and film. While remaining true to the DNA of the original, this contemporary drama will delve deeper into the life of the chameleon like "anti-hero" at the heart of the story, in a high octane, cinematic, globetrotting "cat & mouse" thriller, set amidst the turbulent geo-political landscape of our time.”

The Day of the Jackal is a series created and written and showrun by Ronan Bennett, and it also stars Lashana Lynch as Bianca, Úrsula Corberó, Charles Dance, Richard Dormer, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lia Williams, Khalid Abdalla, and Eleanor Matsuura.

Peacock will debut The Day of the Jackal series on November 7th, 2024.
