Trailer For End of the World Sci-Fi Action Movie WINTER: BATTLEGROUND
A full trailer has been released for the end of the world sci-fi action flick Winter: Battleground, starring Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone, of the UFC Hall of Fame, Cobra Kai and The Equalizer 2, along with Johnny Messner and Kayleigh Gilbert. The movie is directed by David Christopher Pitt, in his feature directorial debut, from a screenplay written by Wil Radcliffe.
The synopsis reads: “In a near-future USA ruled by artificial intelligence, one man refuses to submit. Winter, a former soldier turned renegade, hides deep in the forest guarding a stolen virus capable of destroying the corrupt AIs controlling the military.
“When his former brother-in-arms leads an elite team of cybernetically enhanced assassins to hunt him down, Winter launches a deadly guerrilla war of traps, ambushes & raw survival.
“As combat satellites enforce outlawed human speech & more soldiers fall under the influence of corrupted machine code, allegiances fracture and the true madness of the ruling AI is revealed.
“Joined by a fellow rebel and a tech expert who turns against the system, Winter races toward a final confrontation that will decide the future of human freedom.”
This doesn’t look super great, but if you’re a fan of Cerrone, or the sci-fi kick-ass genre, maybe it’s just the watch for you. Check out the trailer below, and watch Winter: Battleground when it’s released direct-to-VOD on April 7th.
