Trailer for English-Language Remake of the Film RAMS, Starring Sam Neill and Michael Caton

West End Films has released the trailer for their upcoming film Rams. The movie is an English-language remake of the 2015 award-winning Icelandic film of the same name. This version stars Sam Neill (Jurassic Park) and Michael Caton (Last Cab to Darwin) as brothers who haven’t spoken in 40 years and compete in side by side ram farms. When a disease unexpectedly hits their livestock, the community rallies to come to their aid.

The film is directed by Australian filmmaker Jeremy Sims (Last Cab to Darwin), with a script by Jules Duncan, based on the original version by Grímur Hákonarson.

Here’s the synopsis:

Rams stars Sam Neill and Michael Caton in the story of a decades-long feud between two sheep farming brothers which comes to a head when disaster strikes their flocks. Miranda Richardson plays Kat, the local veterinarian of a sheep-farming town hit by a rare disease affecting the flocks of estranged brothers Colin and Les, played by Neill and Caton, respectively. The outbreak forces them to work together to save their livelihoods and family legacy.

Rams is set to hit Australian theaters this August, with no wide release date as of yet. Check out the trailer below, and stay tuned for more info.
