A new trailer has been released for the fantasy adventure film A Fairytale After All. The movie was produced, written, and directed by filmmaker Erik Peter Carlson in conjunction with his company, A Fairy Tale After All Enterprises.

“The family film stars Emily Shenaut as Sky, a high school teenager who is magically transported to the fairy tale Kingdom of Celestia, where the villagers know her as Your Royal Highness, Princess Geneva. She immediately finds herself on a daring journey to rescue her father, the King, from the evil forces of Madame Mizrabel and her slapstick sidekicks. Assisting her along the way are memorable puppet friends who leap off the screen with witty antics and elaborate musical numbers.”

This movie is a passion project for Carlson, and it looks like he had some fun bringing these ideas to life. It comes off as Jim Henson on a much lower budget, but it may be fun for fans of this genre. It reminds me of movies that were made by Disney or Nickelodeon when I was a kid. Not great quality, but fun and memorable for audiences with limited access to new content.

Check out the trailer for the film below, and keep an eye out for A Fairytale After All once it gets a release date.
