Trailer for FLAMIN' HOT, the Origin Story of Flamin' Hot Cheetos
Ever wonder how Flamin’ Hot Cheetos came to exist? Well, Eva Longoria set out on a journey to make a movie to tell this story, and it really is a great and interesting one! The movie is titled Flamin’ Hot and Searchlight Pictures has released the first trailer for it.
The film centers on the man, Richard Montañez, who came up with the Flamin’ Hot idea and convinced Frito Lay to try it out. As you know, it was an instant success.
The story for the film follows Montanez, "the son of an immigrant, who grew up as a migrant farm worker picking grapes in the fields of Southern California before becoming a janitor at Frito-Lay. It was while working at the company that Montanez came up with the idea to create Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, transforming the Frito-Lay brand into a pop culture phenomenon and disrupting the entire food industry in the process. Now commonly referred to as the Godfather of Multicultural Marketing, it was that initial idea that would spark a billion-dollar brand and catapult him from janitor to elite corporate executive."
The movie stars Jesse Garcia as Montañez, Annie Gonzalez, Dennis Haysbert, Emilio Rivera, Tony Shalhoub, Matt Walsh, Pepe Serna, Bobby Soto, Jimmy Gonzales, Brice Gonzalez, and Hunter Jones.
I’ve been hearing great things about this movie, and I’m looking forward to watching it! Searchlight Pictures will release Flamin' Hot on Hulu and Disney+ starting June 9th, 2023.
