Trailer For Four-Part HBO Docuseries ALLEN V FARROW Chronicles Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Director Woody Allen
A new trailer has been released for the upcoming four-part docuseries Allen v Farrow, which takes a look at the sexual abuse allegations against filmmaker Woody Allen, who used to be married to actress Mia Farrow, then went on to marry her adopted daughter. The director was accused by his and Farrow’s daughter Dylan of sexual abuse that he has denied over the years.
The series “goes behind decades of sensational headlines to reveal the private story of one of Hollywood’s most notorious and public scandals: the accusation of sexual abuse against Woody Allen involving Dylan, his then seven-year-old daughter with Mia Farrow; their subsequent custody trial, the revelation of Allen’s relationship with Farrow’s daughter, Soon-Yi; and the controversial aftermath in the years that followed. Once celebrated for their on and off-screen partnership, Farrow and Allen’s lives were irrevocably fractured and their sprawling family torn apart with the public disclosure of the abuse allegations and the vitriolic disputes that followed.”
This is going to be a rough one to watch. Child abuse is the lowest of the low, and Allen has never been separated from the controversy that has surrounded him since the accusations and his controversial marriage.
Check out the trailer for the series below, and watch Allen v Farrow on HBO and HBO Max beginning on February 21.
