Trailer for Holiday Film CHRISTMAS VS. THE WALTERS
A new trailer has been released for the holiday film Christmas Vs. The Walters, which tells the classic story of a family for whom nothing is going right during the Christmas season. They are quarreling and looking for some relief and connection during a beautiful, but often stressful time of year.
The film stars Shawnee Smith (Saw franchise) and Dean Winters (Rescue Me), as well as a great ensemble that includes Emmy winner Chris Elliott (Schitt’s Creek), Oscar nominee Bruce Dern (Nebraska), Nate Torrence (She’s Out of My League), Caroline Aaron (21 Jump Street), Golden Globe nominee and Emmy winner Richard Thomas (The Waltons, Billions), Jack McGee (The Fighter), Betsy Beutler (Scrubs), John Farley (Tommy Boy), Joseph D’Onofrio (Goodfellas), Chris Tardio (Younger, Ray Donovan), Paris Bravo (Bad Therapy), Jaime Zevallos (Cloak & Dagger), Christine James Walker (Non-Stop, The Blacklist), Julie Stackhouse (Rough Night), Kresh Novakovic (Blue Bloods), and Al Linea (The Irishman, Boardwalk Empire).
Here’s the synopsis:
“Diane Walters (Smith), an overburdened mother of two with a third child on the way, strives to create the perfect Christmas while her loving but dysfunctional family falls apart around her.”
This looks like your prototypical Christmas movie that starts out rough, and everything turns out happy in the end. But that may just be what we need more of this holiday season. I may be on board just to hear Chris Elliott sing his song some more. Check out the trailer below, and watch Christmas Vs. The Walters in theaters on November 5th.
