Trailer for Hulu’s Remake of THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE with Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Maika Monroe

20th Century Studios has released the trailer for The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, a modern reimagining of the 1992 thriller, and it looks like it’s going to get under everyone’s skin.

Directed by Michelle Garza Cervera, the film stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Caitlin Morales, a suburban mom who hires a seemingly perfect nanny, Polly Murphy, played by Maika Monroe.

Of course, things quickly take a sinister turn when Caitlin realizes Polly isn’t who she says she is. If you’re a fan of dark thrillers, this is a movie that you’re sure to enjoy.

Alongside Winstead and Monroe, the film features Raúl Castillo, Martin Starr, Mileiah Vega, Riki Lindhome, and Shannon Cochran.

Written by Micah Bloomberg from a screenplay by Amanda Silver, The trailer teases an unsettling mix of psychological manipulation and creeping dread that feels tailor-made for Hulu’s horror lineup.

The film will premiere exclusively on Hulu on October 22.
