Trailer for Iranian Vampire Western A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT
A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night premiered at Sundance earlier this year and got really good reviews. It is also the world’s first Iranian vampire western, so you definitely want to check out the trailer, just for the sake of experiencing history. Also, writer-director Ana Lily Amirpour’s debut is interesting enough to warrant a watch. It looks stylish and atmospheric and hella good fun, and the use of a chador as a vampire cloak is pretty boss. If you were into Let the Right One In, you are probably going to be down for this.
Here is the description from the Sundance Film Festival Guide:
Strange things are afoot in Bad City. The Iranian ghost town, home to prostitutes, junkies, pimps and other sordid souls, is a bastion of depravity and hopelessness where a lonely vampire stalks its most unsavory inhabitants. But when boy meets girl, an unusual love story begins to blossom... blood red.
