Trailer For Jack Black's KUNG FU PANDA 4 Sees Po Back in Action in a New Adventure

Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for DreamWorks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda 4, and it features Jack Black back in the role of Po, who is back in action in a whole new adventure. I’ve enjoyed the Kung Fu Panda movies over the years and this sequel looks like it’ll be fun!

The synopsis for the film reads: “After three death-defying adventures defeating world-class villains with his unmatched courage and mad martial arts skills, Po, the Dragon Warrior (Black), is called upon by destiny to … give it a rest already. More specifically, he’s tapped to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace.”

Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once) has also joined the franchise and is playing a new character, named Han, the leader of the Den of Thieves. The rest of the cast includes Dustin Hoffman as Kung Fu master, Shifu; James Hong as Po’s adoptive father, Mr. Ping; Bryan Cranston as Po’s birth father, Li; and Ian McShane as Tai Lung, Shifu’s former student and arch-nemesis. Awkwafina plays the quick-witted thief Zhen, and Viola Davis plays wicked, powerful sorceress Chameleon.

Kung Fu Panda 4 is directed by Mike Mitchell (Trolls, Shrek Forever After) and co-directed by Stephanie Ma Stine (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power). The movie will hit theaters on March 8th, 2024.
