Trailer for Jacob Elordi's Prisoner of War Series THE NARROW ROAD TO THE DEEP NORTH
Prime Video has released the trailer for a upcoming streaming series titled The Narrow Road to the Deep North, a prisoner of war film that stars Jacob Elordi. It looks like an incredible intense series that will tell a strong story.
"Forever after, there were for them only two sorts of men: the men who were on the Line, and the rest of humanity, who were not."
The Narrow Road to the Deep North is described as “a savagely beautiful five-part series charting the life of Dorrigo Evans (played by Jacob Elordi as a young man, with Ciarán Hinds as the older Dorrigo), through his passionate love affair with Amy Mulvaney (Odessa Young), his time held captive in a POW camp, and his later years spent as a revered surgeon and reluctant war hero.
“As a Japanese prisoner of war forced to work on the Thai-Burma railway, medical officer Dorrigo Evans is haunted by the memory of his affair with his uncle’s wife, Amy.
“Thoughts of it both sustain and torment him as he spends his days trying to preserve life in a world beset by death. Their love began by chance when they met in a bookshop. Since that moment, thoughts of Amy have constantly flooded Dorrigo’s mind, despite his long-term marriage to another woman.”
The series comes from Justin Kurzel (The Order) with a cast that includes Odessa Young, Olivia DeJonge, Heather Mitchell, Thomas Weatherall, Show Kasamatsu, Akira Fujii, Jack McGreal, Charles An, Taki Abe, Simon Baker, and George Simitzis.
Amazon will debut The Narrow Road to the Deep North on Prime Video starting April 18th, 2025.
