Trailer for Jason Schwartzman's LISTEN UP PHILIP
Jason Schwartzman's Listen Up Phillip is on our list of movies to see at Sundance. A teaser trailer has been released for the movie, and as you'll see, it has a very awkward vibe. The movie comes from writer and director Alex Ross Perry, and it also stars Elisabeth Moss, Krysten Ritter, Jonathan Pryce, Joséphine de La Baume (Rush), and more.
Anger rages in Philip as he awaits the publication of his sure-to-succeed second novel. He feels pushed out of his adopted home city by the constant crowds and noise, a deteriorating relationship with his photographer girlfriend Ashley, and his own indifference to promoting the novel. When Philip’s idol, Ike Zimmerman, offers his isolated summer home as a refuge, he finally gets the peace and quiet to focus on his favorite subject—himself.
Schwartzman tends to pick projects that I enjoy. It definitely looks like one of those interesting Sundance films, and we'll let you know how it is!
