Trailer For John Cena and Alison Brie's Action Comedy FREELANCE

John Cena and Alison Brie have teamed up for a new action-comedy film project titled Freelance. The film centers on an ex-special forces operative, who while working a boring job takes on a freelance security project that ends up thrusting him into a dangerous adventure. The movie looks like it’ll deliver some amusing action-packed entertainment.

The synopsis reads: “Ex-special forces operative Mason Pettis (Cena) is stuck in a dead-end desk job when he reluctantly takes on a freelance gig to provide private security for washed-up journalist Claire Wellington (Brie) as she interviews the ruthless—but impeccably dressed—dictator, Juan Venegas (Juan Pablo Raba). When a military coup breaks out just as she’s about to get the scoop of a lifetime, the unlikely trio must figure out how to survive the jungle AND each other in order to make it out alive!”

The movie was directed by Pierre Morel (Taken, Peppermint) and it also stars Christian Slater and Alice Eve. Freelance is set to be released in theaters on October 6, 2023, from Relativity Media.
