Trailer For Kristen Bell's Netflix Thriller THE WOMAN IN THE HOUSE ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE GIRL IN THE WINDOW

Netflix has released a new trailer for Kristen Bell’s upcoming paranoia murder thriller series and it’s got quite the title! You’ve gotta take a deep breath for this one. The movie is titled The Woman in the House Across the Street From the Girl in the Window. Hold on, let me make sure I got the right…. yep! That’s it! It seems like the kind of title you’d see for a spoof film, but I guess it also works for a dark comedy.

Bell plays Anna in the series and every day is the same for her. “She sits with her wine, staring out the window, watching life go by without her. But when a handsome neighbor (Tom Riley) and his adorable daughter (Samsara Yett) move in across the street, Anna starts to see a light at the end of the tunnel. That is until she witnesses a gruesome murder... Or did she?”

The movie is described as "a darkly comedic, wine-soaked, satirical slant on the psychological thriller that will have you guessing who, what, where, why and how in the hell?! until the very end."

This is obviously another story inspired by films like Alfred Hitchock’s Rear Window. In all of these types of films, the main character who witnesses the murder is made to feel like what they saw was all made up in their head. Then, in the end, it turns out they were right along after they investigate the situation for themselves.

Maybe this story will be different and the main character is just actually having a mental breakdown.

The series was created by Rachel Ramras, Hugh Davidson, and Larry Dorf, and it also stars Michael Ealy, Mary Holland, Shelley Hennig, Cameron Britton, Christina Anthony and Benjamin Levy Aguilar.

The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window consists of eight 30-minute episodes and it’s set to premiere on Netflix on January 28, 2022.
