Trailer For Lily-Rose Depp's HBO Series THE IDOL - "The Sleaziest Love Story in All of Hollywood"
HBO has released the first teaser trailer for Lily-Rose Depp's upcoming drama limited-series The Idol, which also stars Grammy winner Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye (Uncut Gems). The series is described as telling “the sleaziest love story in all of Hollywood.”
The Idol is co-created by Sam Levinson (Euphoria), Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, and Reza Fahim. The story is “Set against the backdrop of the music industry, the series centers on a self-help guru and leader of a modern-day cult, who develops a complicated relationship with an up-and-coming pop idol.”
This definitely looks like it’s going to be a wild and crazy series! The show also stars Troye Sivan (Boy Erased), Hari Nef (Transparent), Debby Ryan (Insatiable), Steve Zissis (Togetherness), Rachel Sennott (Bodies Bodies Bodies) and K-Pop global superstar Jennie Kim of Blackpink.
Additional cast includes Anne Heche (Gracie’s Choice), Melanie Liburd (Power Book II: Ghost), Tunde Adebimpe (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Elizabeth Berkley Lauren (Saved by the Bell), Nico Hiraga (Booksmart), and more.
