Trailer For Luke Evans and Rory Culkin's Action Thriller 5LBS OF PRESSURE
Lionsgate has released a trailer for the upcoming action crime thriller 5lbs of Pressure, which stars Luke Evans and Rory Culkin. This looks like it’s just another one of those generic action movies with a good cast, but I’ll give it a go. I like Luke Evans, and who knows, maybe it’ll be a surprisingly good movie.
Evans takes on the role of Adam in the movie, an ex-con who moves back into his old neighborhood after serving a 16-year stretch for murder, and he’s walking a rocky path of forgiveness toward the son who grew up without him, while the bitter, volatile brother of the youth he killed looms in the background. Meanwhile, Mike (Culkin), sick of doing the bidding of his drug-dealing uncle (Alex Pettyfer), is desperate to leave his sordid life behind. When Adam and Mike’s paths converge, inescapable destiny will give way to violence…and a final, fleeting shot at redemption.
The movie comes from director Phil Allocco, and the rest of the cast includes Zac Adams, Rudy Pankow, Stephanie Leonidas, Savannah Steyn, and Lorraine Burroughs.
5lbs of Pressure will be released in select US theaters starting on March 8th, 2024.
