Trailer For Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry's Action Comedy THE UNION
Netflix has released the first trailer for Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry’s action comedy The Union.
The movie follows Mike (Wahlberg), a construction worker from Jersey, who is quickly thrust into the world of super spies and secret agents when his high school sweetheart, Roxanne (Berry), suddenly comes back into his life and recruits him on a high-stakes U.S. intelligence mission.
The mission involves retrieving a list that was stolen containing the identities of every U.S. spy. So Mike, a construction worker, is unexpectedly swept up on a wild adventure and becomes a blue-collar James Bond.
The Union is directed by Julian Farino and written by Joe Barton and David Guggenheim. The cast also features J.K. Simmons, Mike Colter, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jessica De Gouw, Alice Lee and Jackie Earle Haley.
Wahlberg talked about working with Berry on the project saying it was “an absolute joy. I’ve always been a huge fan of her and an admirer of her work.
“Doing anything with Halle is very easy but also an absolute joy. Pretty much any guy or gal would do anything to win her over, so it was certainly easy when it came to me basically following her like a puppy.”
The movie will hit Netflix on August 16th.
