Trailer for Mel Gibson's Intense Action Thriller HUNTING SEASON

Samuel Goldwyn Films has released the official trailer for Raja Collins’ upcoming action thriller, Hunting Season, and it looks like a gritty, high-stakes survival story packed with violence, and revenge.

Set in the rugged wilderness, the story kicks off when a mysterious young woman (played by Shelley Hennig) washes up on the bank of a river near a reclusive survivalist’s home.

When a spirited twelve-year-old girl finds her, she and her protective father (Mel Gibson) take the wounded stranger in. But their act of kindness quickly pulls them into a deadly web of danger as they become targets of a ruthless drug lord who will stop at nothing to track her down.

The film also stars Sofia Hublitz (Ozark) and Jordi Mollà (Bad Boys II), rounding out a strong ensemble for this tense, character-driven thriller.

Hunting Season is directed by Raja Collins, known for American Sicario, Don’t Suck, and Crescent City. The screenplay comes from Adam Hampton.

What starts as a rescue quickly turns into a fight for survival, with Gibson bringing his trademark intensity and Hennig stepping into an action-heavy role that looks intense.

Samuel Goldwyn Films will release the movie in select U.S. theaters and on VOD starting December 5, 2025.
