Trailer For Michael Fassbender's Political Thriller Series THE AGENCY

Showtime has released the first trailer for its upcoming dark political thriller series The Agency, which is set in the world of secret operations and undercover agents. This looks like it could be a great show and I’m looking forward to watching it.

The story follows “a world of even deeper intrigue and subterfuge, with characters fighting their own battles as they grapple with existential threats to the nation and the world.”

Michael Fassbender stars in the series as “a covert CIA agent ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London Station. When the love he left behind reappears, romance reignites.

“His career, his real identity and his mission are pitted against his heart; hurling them both into a deadly game of international intrigue and espionage.”

The series also has a great supporting cast that includes Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, Katherine Waterston, John Magaro, Alex Reznik, Andrew Brooke, Harriet Sansom Harris, India Fowler, Saura Lightfoot-Leon, Reza Brojerdi, and Richard Gere.

The Agency was created and written by brothers Jez and John-Henry Butterworth who are both writers of Fair Game, Edge of Tomorrow, Ford v Ferrari, and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

The series is based on the original French series titled Le Bureau des Legendes created by Eric Rochant. Showtime will debut the series on November 29th, 2024.
