Trailer For Mickey Rourke's L.A. Crime Drama ADVERSE
Lionsgate has released a trailer for its upcoming gritty and suspenseful crime drama Adverse, which stars Mickey Rourke. The film comes from writer and director Brian A. Metcalf and the story follows a ride-share driver named Ethan, who discovers his sister is in debt to a dangerous crime syndicate. He ends up in over his head trying to free her.
The film is set in the gritty backdrop of Los Angeles, and is described as a “neo-noir dramatic film that looks deep into the ties of love and a commentary on society.” It looks like it was inspired by films such as Drive and Collateral.
The cast for the film also includes Thomas Ian Nicholas, who stars as Ethan, Sean Astin, Penelope Ann Miller, Aaron Schwartz, and Lou Diamond Phillips.
Lionsgate will release Adverse direct-to-VOD starting on March 9th, 2021.
