Trailer For Netflix Drama Series MAID Starring Margaret Qualley and Real-Life Mom Andie McDowell
Netflix has released a trailer for their new drama series titled Maid, which stars Margaret Qualley (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, My Salinger Year) as a single mother who works as a maid for affluent families while simultaneously struggling with poverty. Qualley’s real-life mother, actress Andie McDowell (St. Elmo’s Fire, Groundhog Day), joins her in the cast, as well as Nick Robinson (Jurassic World, Love, Simon), Billy Burke (the Twilight franchise), and Anika Noni Rose (The Princess and the Frog).
The series was created and co-written by Molly Smith Metzler, who wrote for hit series Orange is the New Black and Shameless, and it’s inspired by Stephanie Land's best-selling memoir Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother's Will to Survive.
This looks tough to watch, as it’s such a sad story, but it looks really well done, and the cast is great. Check out the trailer below, and watch Maid when it hits Netflix on October 1st.
