Trailer for Netflix Film MY BEST FRIEND ANNE FRANK
Netflix has released a new trailer for the Dutch-language film My Best Friend Anne Frank. The film is "based on the real-life friendship between Anne Frank and Hannah Goslar, from Nazi-occupied Amsterdam to their harrowing reunion in a concentration camp."
The Dutch-language film is based on the YA (young adult) book Memories of Anne Frank: Reflections of a Childhood Friend by Alison Leslie Gold, who also co-authored the adult non-fiction book, Anne Frank Remembered: The Story of the Woman Who Helped Hide the Frank Family.
Aiko Beemsterboer stars in the film as Anne, and Hannah is played by Josephine Arendsen, who the story is told from the point of view of. This looks like a story that is well-done, and telling it from the point of view of the teen girls makes sense, as we have all read The Diary of Anne Frank and connected to her story-telling so intimately.
My Best Friend Anne Frank is available to stream now on Netflix. Check out the trailer below.
