Netflix has released a trailer for the romantic comedy People We Meet On Vacation, based on the best-selling book by Emily Henry.

The synopsis reads: “Free-spirited Poppy (Emily Bader) and routine-loving Alex (Tom Blyth) have been unlikely best friends for a decade, living in different cities but spending every summer vacation together.

“The careful balance of their friendship is put to the test when they begin to question what has been obvious to everyone else — could they actually be the perfect romantic match?”

The film stars Emily Bader as Poppy and Tom Blyth as Alex, with Sarah Catherine Hook, Lucien Laviscount, Miles Heizer, Jameela Jamil, Tommy Do, Lukas Gage, Alice Lee, Molly Shannon and Alan Ruck. The movie is directed by Brett Haley (The New Year, Hearts Beat Loud, All the Bright Places, All Together Now) from a screenplay adapted by Yulin Kuang, Amos Vernon and Nunzio Randazzo.

This looks like a fun and easy watch after the holidays. People We Meet On Vacation is set to be released on Netflix on January 9th.
