Trailer for Netflix's MEDICAL POLICE – A Comedy About Doctors Who Are Also Cops

Just when we thought Hollywood was running out of original ideas, Netflix has released a trailer for a new comedy series titled Medical Police. The series revolves around a couple of crime-fighting doctors, who are also cops! The two main characters are played by Childrens Hospital alumn Erinn Hayes and Rob Huebel, who also created the hilarious-looking series.

The series is said to be “totally-not-a-spinoff” of Childrens Hospital and original Childrens Hospital creators Krister Johnson, David Wain, Rob Corddry, and Jonathan Stern will also be in the series. Here’s the synopsis for Medical Police:

From the inimitable team behind Childrens Hospital, Medical Police follows two American physicians (Erinn Hayes and Rob Huebel) stationed at a pediatric hospital in São Paulo, Brazil who unwittingly discover a civilization-threatening virus. They’re soon recruited as secret government agents and find themselves in a race against time to find a cure, all the while uncovering a dark conspiracy at the center of the outbreak. Building on the legacy of its predecessor Childrens Hospital, Medical Police triples as an action-packed thriller, a mystery-wrapped love story and, ultimately, a globetrotting comedy series.

The series looks like ridiculous silly fun and also features Craig Robinson and Jason Schwartzman in supporting roles. Medical Police premieres on Netflix on January 10, 2020. It’s not every day a trailer makes me laugh, but this one did the trick. Enjoy!

From the creators of Childrens Hospital (starring Rob Huebel and Erinn Hayes) comes the totally-not-a-spinoff Medical Police (also starring Rob Huebel and Erinn Hayes.) When a mysterious illness threatens the fate of our planet and life as we know it, a cast of characters who have no business saving the world may be our only hope.
