Trailer For Netflix's Raunchy Auto Repair Shop Comedy Series TIRES From Comedian Shane Gillis

Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming workplace comedy Tires, which is set in an auto repair shop.

The series follows Will (Steven Gerben), “the nervous and unqualified heir to an auto repair chain who attempts to turn his father’s business around despite constant torture from his cousin and now employee, Shane (Shane Gillis).”

Gillis with Gerben created the six-episode series with John McKeever, who also serves as the director. They independently produced the series through their production company Dad Sick and it was acquired by Netflix in February.

Gillis has had an interesting and awkward rise in comedy stardom as he was hired by Saturday Night Live and then fired days later after clips of him using racial slurs on his podcast resurfaced.

He has since become one of the biggest names in comedy over the last couple of years. His podcast, which he runs with Matt McCusker, “Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast,” has more paid subscribers on Patreon than any other creator.

Gillis was later invited back to Studio 8H to host SNL, joking in his monologue: “Most of you probably have no idea who I am. I was actually — I was fired from this show a while ago. But, you know, don’t look that up, please. If you don’t know who I am, please don’t Google that. It’s fine. Don’t even worry about it.”

Additional cast members of the series includes Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox, Stavros Halkias and guest star Andrew Schulz.

Tires will premiere on Netflix on May 23.
