Trailer for Netflix's THE PLATFORM Which is Set in a Vertical Prison Where Those at the Top Decide the Fate of Those Below

We’ve got a weird and unsettling trailer for you guys to check out for the Netflix film The Platform, about a vertical prison in which the people at the top are given an excessive amount of food, enough for them and all the people below them, but they decide how much they indulge, and how much they drop to the levels below for the prisoners on the lower levels. The film is from Spain and is directed by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia.

Here’s the synopsis:

When we meet Goreng (Ivan Massagué), he has just arrived on The Platform and has been assigned to the level of old-hand Trimagasi (Zorion Eguileor) who explains to him the rules: the levels are assigned randomly, those in the upper tier get to eat and those in the lower tier have to fight for survival. Although Goreng is reluctant at first to accept the system he finds himself in, it isn’t long before his survival instincts kick in, igniting a battle that spirals all the way down to the core of what it means to be a human being.

I’m not sure this is my type of movie, but it could be something lots of you might like. The Platform hits Netflix on March 20, 2020. Check out the trailer, and let us know if you’re interested.
