Trailer For Netflix's Twisted Mystery Thriller Series DEAR GIRL

Netflix has released a trailer for an interesting new mystery thriller series titled Dear Child and it looks like the story is going to take audiences on a journey filled with all kinds of twists and turns. I love shows like this!

The six-part German series is based on Romy Hausmann’s novel of the same name. In the series: “Lena lives in complete isolation with her two children, Hannah and Jonathan, in a high-security house. They eat their meals, go to the bathroom, and go to bed at precisely prescribed times. As soon as he enters the room, they line up to show their hands. They do everything he says. Until the young woman manages to escape. After a near-fatal car accident, she is hospitalized, accompanied by Hannah.”

It’s explained that “Dear Child starts where traditional thrillers end: with redemption. But the true extent of this nightmare is revealed when Lena’s parents arrive at the hospital the same night. They have been desperately searching for their missing daughter for almost 13 years…”

The cast includes Kim Riedle, Naila Schuberth, Sammy Schrein, Hans Löw, Haley Louise Jones, Justus von Dohnányi, Julika Jenkins, Birge Schade, Christian Beermann, Seraphina Maria Schweiger, Özgür Karadeniz, and Jeanne Goursaud.

Isabel Kleefeld co-wrote the screenplay with Julian Pörksen, and they both co-directed the show. Dear Child will debut on Thursday, September 7th.
