Trailer For Netflix's WWII Espionage Thriller MUNICH: THE EDGE OF WAR

Netflix has released the trailer for an upcoming World War II espionage thriller titled Munich: The Edge of War. The movie is based on the novel Munich written by Robert Harris and the story is set in 1938 and focuses on two young men embroiled in one of the most crucial moments in 20th Century history as they conspire to prevent a terrifying conflict.

The movie stars George MacKay (1917), Jannis Niewöhner, and Jeremy Irons (House of Gucci).  I like historical films like this and Munich: The Edge of War looks like this is going to be a good and intriguing one! I’ll be looking forward to watching it.

In the film, “Europe stands on the brink of war. Adolf Hitler is preparing to invade Czechoslovakia and Neville Chamberlain's government desperately seeks a peaceful solution. With the pressure building, Hugh Legat, British civil servant, and Paul von Hartmann, German diplomat, travel to Munich for the emergency Conference. As negotiations begin, the two old friends find themselves at the centre of a web of political subterfuge and very real danger. With the whole world watching, can war be averted and, if so, at what cost?”

Munich: The Edge of War was directed by Christian Schwochow from a script written by Ben Power and produced by Andrew Eaton.

The movie will be released in select theaters on December 31st, 2021, and will premiere on Netflix on January 21st, 2022.
