Twisted Trailer For Nicolas Cage and Maika Monroe's Serial Killer Occult Horror Thriller LONGLEGS
NEON has released the first chilling trailer for the upcoming occult horror thriller Longlegs, which stars Nicolas Cage as a sadistic serial killer. This movie looks like it’s going to deliver a super dark and disturbing story. The trailer comes with the following note: “You've got the teeth of the hydra upon you.”
The movie also stars Maika Monroe (It Follows) as Lee Harker, a gifted new FBI agent assigned to an unsolved serial killer case. “As the case takes complex turns, unearthing evidence of the occult, Harker discovers a personal connection to the merciless killer and must race against time to stop him before he claims the lives of another innocent family.”
Cage's killer is barely in the trailer, but we see him once in a mask while wielding an axe and another with shaggy hair and a ghostly white face. The trailer mostly sets the tense and unnerving tone of the film snd it doesn’t give any details on the story away.
The movie will be written and directed by Osgood Perkins (Gretel & Hansel) and is said to be “in the vein of classic Hollywood psychological thrillers,” and is set to be released on July 12th, 2024.
