Trailer for Nicolas Cage's Very First Western Revenge Thriller THE OLD WAY
Nicolas Cage has a new film coming out soon, a Western revenge thriller titled The Old Way. As a fan of Cage and his films, it’s great to see him starring in a new western and the movie actually looks really good! I’m in, and you can tell in the trailer that Cage had fun making this movie. It’s pretty crazy that with all the film Cage as made over the years, this is his very first western.
In the film, Cage is Colton Briggs, “a cold-blooded gunslinger turned respectable family man. When an outlaw and his gang put Colton and his family in peril, Colton is forced to take up arms with an unlikely partner — his 12-year-old daughter (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) — in this action-filled film that builds toward its fateful showdown with pulse-pounding suspense.”
While Cage is the main draw of the movie, Armstrong also seems to give an impressive performance as his daughter. She gets to play a young badass character.
The film was directed by Brett Donowho, and it also stars Noah Le Gros, Clint Howard, and Kerry Knuppe with Nick Searcy and Shiloh Fernandez. It will be released on January 6th, 2023.
