Trailer for OUTGUNNED, a Gritty Survival Action Thriller Set in the African Wilderness

Signature Entertainment has dropped the official trailer for Outgunned aka Hunting Jessica Brok an action thriller directed by Alastair Orr. The South Africa-shot film leans hard into survival action, personal stakes, and brutal combat, all wrapped around a mother who thought she was done fighting.

The story centers on Jessica Brok, played by Danica De La Rey Jones, a retired special forces operative who’s disappeared from the world.

She’s built a quiet life far from the violence, raising her daughter and trying to stay buried. That peace doesn’t last. The trailer sets up a familiar but effective hook, dragging Jessica back into a nightmare fueled by betrayal, mercenaries, and unfinished business.

The film’s intro leans into myth-making mode and paints Jessica as someone who tried to erase her past completely: “She was a ghost. A knife in boots. Special forces-trained, war-tested, emotionally cauterized. Once upon a time, Jessica Brok had a name that meant death in several dialects.

“Then she went off-grid. Vanished... She renamed herself Linda. Got a kid. A little house. A vulture rescue center. She thought she was done being a weapon. She thought wrong.”

The synopsis reads: “Jessica Brok (starring Danica De La Rey Jones), a former elite Black Ops soldier, has left her violent past behind in rural South Africa. But when an old ally betrays her, she’s captured by a ruthless warlord she once hunted.

“With her daughter in danger, Jessica must escape a deadly compound and face mercenaries, forcing her to become the killer that she vowed never to be again.”

Alongside Jones, the cast includes Clyde Berning, Richard Lukunku, Anthony Oseyemi, and Tamer Burjaq.

The trailer doesn’t pretend this is reinventing the action genre, but it does promise fast pacing, relentless threats, and a lead character who’s clearly dangerous when cornered.

Quiver Distribution is bringing Outgunned to select US theaters starting February 13th, 2026.
