Trailer For Peacock's Adaptation of The Dystopian Classic BRAVE NEW WORLD with Alden Ehrenreich and Demi Moore
“If this place is so perfect, why is it upside down?”
The first trailer has dropped for Pecock’s upcoming series Brave New World, which is based on Aldous Huxley’s classic 1932 novel. The story imagines a utopian society that has achieved peace and stability through the prohibition of monogamy, privacy, money, family and history itself.
The series also has a great cast that includes Alden Ehrenreich (Solo), Harry Lloyd (Game of Thrones), Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey), and Demi Moore. It comes from UCP and Amblin Television and was written by David Wiener, Grant Morrison and Brian Taylor.
The series takes some creative liberties the novel, as a supporting character from the book, John the Savage, is the main character in the series and is played by Ehrenreich. The character is an outsider who lived his life on the Reservation. In the series, he becomes the catalyst for revolution when he enters New London, which is a seemingly perfect society where the people are kept subdued by drugs and orgies.
Jessica Brown Findlay takes on the role of Lenina Crowe and Harry Lloyd play Bernard Max. They “have only ever known a rigid social order and a culture of instant gratification and ubiquitous sex. When curiosity leads the pair on an adventure to the Savage Lands, they’ll need to be saved when they end up part of a violent rebellion.” John the Savage, “escapes back to New London with Crowe and Max, and when he disrupts society's fragile harmony, his cohorts will have to deal with the repercussions.”
Brave New World will debut on Peacock when it launches on July 15, 2020.
