Trailer for Peacock's YA Fantasy Series VAMPIRE ACADEMY Based on the Popular Book Series
A new trailer has been released for the Peacock series Vampire Academy, based on the YA novels by Richelle Mead. The fantasy series from Julie Plec (The Vampire Diaries) and Marguerite MacIntyre (The Originals) tells a story of romance and adventure, and sees the friendship between two young women — “Rose Hathaway (Sisi Stringer), a vampire-human hybrid, and Lissa Dragomir (Daniela Nieves), a Royal Moroi vampire — tested as the pair prepare to enter vampire society, one as a powerful Royal and the other as a sworn protector.”
Along with Stringer and Nieves, the series also stars Kieron Moore, Andre Dae Kim, J. August Richards, Anita-Joy Uwajeh, Mia Mckenna-Bruce, Rhian Blundell, Jonetta Kaiser, and Andrew Liner.
This looks super cheesy, but I read the Twilight series and was happy to watch those cheesy movies because it was fun to see the story play out onscreen. So if this is purely an homage to fans, then it seems like it will be worth it. Check out the trailer below, and if you like what you see, watch Vampire Academy on Peacock beginning on September 15th.
