Trailer For PRETTY LETHAL Unleashes Killer Ballerinas in Wild New Action Thriller with Uma Thurman
Prime Video has released the trailer for Pretty Lethal, and if you’ve ever wondered what would happen if elite ballerinas went full survival-mode assassin in the middle of nowhere, this movie might be your kind of chaos.
The action thriller skips theaters entirely and heads straight to streaming on March 25, 2026. And yes, it looks as fun and off-the-wall as it sounds.
The story centers on five ballerinas traveling to a prestigious dance competition. They’re barely speaking to each other when their bus breaks down deep in a remote forest. With no better option, they take shelter at a roadside inn run by Devora Kasimer, played by Uma Thurman.
Devora is described as a reclusive former ballet prodigy, and from the second the dancers step inside, something feels off.
Here’s the official synopsis: “An action-packed thriller where 5 ballerinas, on their way to a prestigious dance competition, are barely on speaking terms when their bus breaks down in a remote forest.
“With no other options, they reluctantly seek shelter at an unsettling roadside inn run by a woman named Devora Kasimer (Uma Thurman), a reclusive former ballet prodigy. From the moment they arrive, something feels wrong—and their worst instincts prove right. A
“s the situation turns deadly, the fractured team must set aside their rivalries and weaponize years of brutal training, turning grace, discipline, and even pointe shoes into tools for survival.”
The cast includes Iris Apatow, Lana Condor, Millicent Simmonds, Avantika, and Maddie Ziegler play the ballerinas caught in the nightmare scenario. They’re joined by Michael Culkin, Lydia Leonard, and Thurman, who looks like she’s having a great time playing the mysterious and possibly unhinged innkeeper.
The film is directed by Vicky Jewson, who previously helmed Lady Godiva, Born of War, Close, and worked on The Witcher: Blood Origin. The screenplay comes from Kate Freund.
The trailer gives off serious high-concept B-movie energy, which I enjoy! It almost feels like a scrappy riff on the John Wick universe’s ballerina concept, except this one leans harder into survival horror territory.
It’s slick, strange, and a little unhinged. Whether it lands as a cult favorite or gloriously over-the-top action fest, it definitely doesn’t look boring.
Prime Video is clearly swinging for something different here. Killer ballerinas trapped in a forest inn with Uma Thurman at the center of it all? That’s the kind of wild story that makes for a great movie night.
Pretty Lethal hits Prime Video on March 25, 2026.
