Trailer for RABISU: CURSE OF THE DEMON Unleashes a Djinn on an Unlucky Ghost Hunting Crew

Found footage horror fans have another possession nightmare heading their way. A new trailer has dropped for Rabisu: Curse of the Demon, a supernatural horror film that blends ghost-hunting thrills with ancient Mesopotamian mythology.

The movie is set to arrive on VOD on April 3 through DeskPop Entertainment, and from the look of the footage, this investigation spirals out of control fast.

The story kicks off in December 2025 when a group of ambitious paranormal investigators heads into a warehouse in Salt Lake City, Utah.

They’re chasing views and hoping to capture something spooky for their audience. Instead, they stumble into something far more dangerous tied to an ancient Assyrian djinn.

The team follows an anonymous tip that points them toward the warehouse, which supposedly holds the sealed remains of the entity. Once inside, they discover the building is packed with a strange maze of mannequins, toys, and costumes arranged in unsettling displays. It already feels wrong. Then the lights go out.

When the power comes back on, things take a dark turn. One of the investigators begins showing signs of possession, revealing the djinn’s ability to manipulate thoughts and push people toward violent behavior.

As the group tries to escape, they realize the exits are sealed and the building itself seems to shift around them. While searching for a way out, they uncover evidence that another investigation team came before them and failed. Now the clock is ticking as they attempt to stop the demon before it tears the group apart from the inside.

The cast includes Hunter King (The Young and the Restless), Chase Ramsey (Horizon: An American Saga), Austin Archer (Horizon: An American Saga), Lindsay Foster (Horizon: An American Saga), Tariq Brown, and Wes Brown (True Blood).

The film marks the feature directing debut of Chris Copier, who also wrote the screenplay. The project is produced by Douglass Kaufman and Jennifer Ricci.

DeskPop Entertainment president Steve Bulzoni shared his thoughts on the film, saying: “Rabisu: Curse of the Demon taps into a very old mythology while delivering the kind of relentless, pressure-cooker experience that plays incredibly well on streaming. Chris Copier has crafted something that’s intense, unsettling, and deeply atmospheric.”

If you enjoy watching paranormal investigators get in way over their heads, this one might be worth adding to your watchlist when it hits VOD on April 3.
