Rooster Teeth may be shutting down, but Red vs. Blue will return for one final chapter. The final season of the series will be released as feature-length film titled Red vs. Blue: Restoration, and the trailer for that movie has been released.
Red vs. Blue: Restoration is the 19th season of Rooster Teeth‘s amusing comedy sci-fi series the synopsis reads: “When the universe’s greatest villain returns in a terrifying new form, old adversaries, the Reds and Blues of Blood Gulch, will have to set aside their differences to save the galaxy one last time.”
The 87-minute movie will be available to watch on May 7th. You can purchase it for $14.99 from Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play, Vudu and other electronic sell-through outlets, and available May 21 to rent digitally for $4.99.
For the final chapter of Red vs. Blue, series co-creator and Rooster Teeth co-founder Burnie Burns said in a statement: “I’m thrilled to return for ‘Red vs. Blue: Restoration’ and to conclude this incredible 21-year journey with our longtime fans. Red vs. Blue has been a cornerstone of Rooster Teeth’s legacy, and we’re immensely proud of what we’ve accomplished together.”
