Trailer for Ridley Scott's Netflix Documentary SURVIVING BLACK HAWK DOWN Which Revisits the Battle of Mogadishu
Ridley Scott has produced a new documentary for Netflix titled Surviving Black Hawk Down, which revisits the Battle of Mogadishu which was dramatized in Scott’s 2001 film Black Hawk Down.
This is a three-part documentary that comes from Scott’s production company RSA and it was directed by Jack MacInnes (Leaving Afghanistan). It will explore the real events of the 1993 battle between U.S. and Somalian forces.
A trailer was released for the documentary that you can watch below. The doc explore “the real events behind the film, incorporating immersive storytelling and first person interviews from the people who witnessed it first-hand.”
Crossley Holland, RSA’s global head of unscripted said in a statement: “RSA are thrilled to bring this compelling story to a new audience with Netflix, almost 25 years after Ridley’s iconic movie. It’s a gripping tale, and powerful and moving to hear from both US forces and Somalis for the first time.”
I loved the film that Scott made and it had a great cast that included Josh Hartnett, Ewan McGregor, Hugh Dancy, Jason Isaacs, Orlando Bloom and Tom Hardy and more.
Surviving Black Hawk Down will premiere on the streamer on February 10th.
