Trailer for Romantic Fantasy 100 NIGHTS OF HERO Starring Maika Monroe and Emma Corrin

A new trailer has been released for the IFC indie romantic fantasy, 100 Nights of Hero, starring Emma Corrin as Hero, Nicholas Galitzine as Manfred, Maika Monroe as Cherry, Amir El-Masry, Charli XCX, Richard E. Grant, and Felicity Jones.

The film is written and directed by Julia Jackman in her second feature film after directing Bonus Track. The story is based on Isabel Greenberg's graphic novel titled The One Hundred Nights of Hero, published in 2016.

The synopsis reads: "Set in Darkly End, an alternate world ruled by the despotic Birdman. Cherry is unhappily married to Jerome, who doesn’t want to spend time with her. Considering their 'duty' to produce an heir, this is worrying.

“The only bright spot in Cherry's day is her maid, Hero. Hero is part of a secret society that collects stories of women who rebelled and met unjust fates, vowing their sacrifices won't be forgotten... Because death is never far away for women here.

“So, when Jerome mysteriously goes on a 'business trip' and leaves Cherry with his flirtatious friend Manfred, Hero has a bad feeling. As the charming Manfred settles in, Cherry finds herself caught between the only man who has ever listened to her – and the maid she is developing forbidden feelings for. All rebellious women end up dead – can Cherry & Hero escape that fate?"

This looks like a pretty original story with some great actors on board. Check out the trailer below, and watch 100 Nights of Hero when it’s released in select US theaters on December 5th.
