Trailer for RUSSIAN DOLL Season 2 Plays With the Concept of Time Travel
Netflix has released the first trailer for Russian Doll Season 2, and things in the life of Natasha Lyonne’s character Nadia get even crazier when she breaks time. Yep, this next chapter of the story has fun playing with some crazy time-traveling shenanigans and it looks like it’s gonna be a wild ride. At least she’s broken out of the time loop!
Set four years after Nadia and Alan (Charlie Barnett) escaped mortality's time loop together, Season 2 “will continue to explore existential thematics through an often humorous and sci-fi lens. Discovering a fate even worse than endless death, this season finds Nadia and Alan delving deeper into their pasts through an unexpected time portal located in one of Manhattan's most notorious locations, the New York City subway. At first they experience this as an ever-expanding, era-spanning, intergenerational adventure, but they soon discover this extraordinary event might be more than they bargained for and, together, must search for a way out.”
They travel decades into the past and find themselves involved with a mystery involving a family’s lost gold. The series also features Sharlto Copley (District 9, Powers), Annie Murphy (Schitt’s Creek) and Carolyn Michelle Smith (Colony), Greta Lee reprises her role as Maxine, Rebecca Henderson returns as Lizzy, Chloe Sevigny plays Nora, and Malachi Nimmons is Danny,
Russian Doll Season 2 arrives on April 20, 2022, on Netflix.
