Trailer For Ruth Wilson's Mystery Crime Thriller Series THE WOMAN IN THE WALL
BBC has released a trailer for an upcoming new crime thriller mystery series titled The Woman in the Wall. The movie stars Ruth Wilson as a young woman who wakes up one morning to find a dead body in her home and she has no idea who she is. As you might imagine, this turn of events throws her life into complete madness and takes her on a journey that will dive into revelations of her past. This looks like it will be a solid and interesting series and it looks like Wilson give a great performance.
The synopsis reads: “Lorna Brady is a woman from the small, fictional Irish town of Kilkinure who wakes one morning to find a corpse in her house. Chillingly, Lorna has no idea who the dead woman is, or if she might be responsible for the apparent murder. That's because Lorna has long suffered from extreme bouts of sleepwalking ever since she was ripped from her life at the age of 15 and incarcerated in a convent. There, Lorna gave birth to her daughter Agnes, who was cruelly taken from her and whose fate Lorna has never known… As Detective Colman searches for a murderer and Lorna searches for her daughter, their paths collide in ways they could never have anticipated. Lorna's search for Agnes will take her deep into her own past and to the heart of Kilkinure's darkest secrets, as she and Colman seek the answers they each so desperately need.”
The Woman in the Wall was created by Joe Murtagh (Calm with Horses, Gangs of London), who is also the lead writer. The series also stars Daryl McCormack as Det. Colman, along with Abby Fitz, Chizzy Akudolu, Lynn Rafferty, Fiona Browne, and Hilda Fay.
BBC will debut The Woman in the Wall on iPlayer (in the UK) and on Paramount+ later this fall.
