Trailer for Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell's A CHRISTMAS CAROL-Inspired Film SPIRITED
Apple TV+ has shared the first teaser trailer for its upcoming Christmas comedy Spirited. The movie is inspired by the classic Charles Dickens’s classic A Christmas Carol, it stars Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell, and it looks like a lot of fun!
We’ve seen a lot of different adaptations of the story over the years, and one of my favorite comedy versions of it was Bill Murray’s Scrooged. But, Spirited one looks like it will deliver some funny comedy, and I’m looking forward to watching it! Oh, I should also mention that this is going to be a musical, and it’s described as a “sweet and spicy holiday treat.”
Here’s the synopsis:
Each Christmas Eve, the Ghost of Christmas Present (Will Ferrell) selects one dark soul to be reformed by a visit from three spirits. But this season, he picked the wrong Scrooge. Clint Briggs (Ryan Reynolds) turns the tables on his ghostly host until Present finds himself reexamining his own past, present and future. For the first time, 'A Christmas Carol' is told from the perspective of the ghosts in this hilarious musical twist on the classic Dickens tale.
The movie comes from Daddy's Home and Instant Family director Sean Anders, and it also stars Octavia Spencer, Sunita Mani, Patrick Page, Joe Tippett, Marlow Barkley, and Jen Tullock.
Spirited will be released in select theaters on November 11, 2022, before becoming available to stream exclusively on Apple TV+ on November 18, 2022.
