Trailer for Ryan Reynolds’ New Nickelodeon Series BEDTIME STORIES WITH RYAN

If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to have Ryan Reynolds read you a bedtime story, Nickelodeon is about to make that happen.

The actor and producer is stepping into storytime mode with Bedtime Stories with Ryan, a live-action series from his Maximum Effort banner, and it’s headed straight to the Nick Jr. channel.

The 10-episode first season will roll out Monday through Friday from March 2–13, airing nightly from 9–9:30 PM. It’s designed as a cozy wind-down block for kids and parents, giving families something fun and relaxing to watch together before lights out.

In the series, Reynolds reads a mix of brand-new and classic bedtime stories. But this isn’t just a guy in a chair flipping pages.

As he reads, the stories spring to life around him, turning each episode into a playful, imaginative experience. The goal is simple: create a warm, magical space where storytelling feels alive and interactive, while still keeping that calming bedtime vibe.

The show was created by Reynolds and George Dewey, and the first season was directed by Vincent Peone.

Maximum Effort has built a pretty impressive résumé. The company is behind the Deadpool films, Free Guy, The Adam Project, and the docuseries Welcome to Wrexham. Now they’re pivoting from fourth-wall-breaking superheroes and time-travel adventures to bedtime storytelling. It’s a fun shift.

You can check out the trailer now and get a preview of the whimsical setup. If you’ve got kids at home, or you’re just curious to see Reynolds swap wisecracks for lullabies, this might be a surprisingly charming addition to your nightly routine.
