Trailer for Netflix's SET IT UP Shows Potential for Rom-Com Fans

A new romantic comedy is coming to Netflix and it looks decent. The film is called Set It Up and while I don’t think it’s revolutionary, I do think it could be a lot of fun for rom-com fans. Here’s a quick synopsis if you haven’t heard of the film before.

In the hilarious and subversive romantic comedy SET IT UP, Harper (Zoey Deutch) and Charlie (Glen Powell) are two overworked, underpaid executive assistants beaten down by Manhattan’s rat race. Barely aware of their own deferred dreams, these twentysomethings live to serve a pair of tough bosses (Lucy Liu and Taye Diggs) who whip them into a daily frenzy. Teaming up out of sheer desperation, Harper and Charlie hatch a plan to become secret matchmakers, getting their bosses of their back by luring them into a fake romance. But what starts out as a brilliant maneuver quickly spirals out of their control as they realize that being the puppet masters isn’t as simple as it seems.

We now have a trailer for the film and it looks fun. It is directed by Claire Scanlon, written by Katie Silberman, and will star Zoey Deutch, Lucy Liu, Glen Powell, and Taye Diggs.

Set It Up will release on Netflix June 15, 2018.

New York assistants, Harper (Zoey Deutch) and Charlie (Glen Powell), are used to going above and beyond for their high-powered (and highly demanding) bosses, Kristen (Lucy Liu) and Rick (Taye Diggs). But now they're teaming up for the biggest projects of their young careers - getting their bosses to fall in love!
