Trailer For SNOWPIERCER Season 2 Gives us Our First Look at Sean Bean as Mr. Wilford

TNT’s Snowpiercer actually ended up being a solid and impressively made series! I enjoyed it and the twists and turns that were featured in the story. At the end of the season finale, a trailer was shared for Season 2, and it introduces Sean Bean as a character named Mr. Wilford, who is in Bong Joon-Ho's film adaptation. The character was previously played by Ed Harris.

If you watched the first season, Wilford was mentioned throughout it, but we were led to believe that the billionaire mastermind behind Snowpiercer was missing and presumed dead. Obviously, he’s alive and well and running a separate train called Big Alice, which is also full of survivors.

The story for Snowpiercer is set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, and it “centers on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a 1001 car, perpetually-moving train that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation based on the acclaimed movie and graphic novel series of the same name.”

It’s going to be really interesting to see how the story continues to play out now that Mr. Willard has entered the picture. Bean joins Jennifer Connelly, Daveed Diggs, Alison Wright, Mickey Sumner, Susan Park, Iddo Goldberg, Katie McGuinness, Lena Hall, Annalise Basso, Sam Otto, Roberto Urbina, Sheila Vand, and Jaylin Fletcher.

Snowpiercer is produced by Tomorrow Studios along with CJ Entertainment, who produced the original film. The series is executive produced by Tomorrow Studios’ Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements; showrunner Graeme Manson, who wrote the first episode; director James Hawes; Matthew O’Connor; Scott Derrickson, and the original film’s producers Bong Joon Ho, Miky Lee, Tae-sung Jeong, Park Chan-wook, Lee Tae-hun and Dooho Choi.

Check out the trailer and let us know what you think.
