Trailer for Storm Reid's Thriller MISSING, the Follow Up to Jon Cho's SEARCHING

The first trailer has been released for the upcoming mystery thriller Missing, which stars Storm Reid. The film is a followup to the 2018 movie Searching, which starred John Cho as a father who embarked on an intense journey to find his missing daughter. It was a good movie that became a sleeper hit, and if you enjoyed that movie, chances are you’ll like what this new film has to offer.

In Missing, “When her mother (Nia Long) disappears while on vacation in Colombia with her new boyfriend, June’s (Reid) search for answers is hindered by international red tape. Stuck thousands of miles away in Los Angeles, June creatively uses all the latest technology at her fingertips to try and find her before it’s too late. But as she digs deeper, her digital sleuthing raises more questions than answers...and when June unravels secrets about her mom, she discovers that she never really knew her at all.”

The film was written and directed by Will Merrick and Nick Johnson, from a story by Sev Ohanian and Aneesh Chaganty, the director of the first film. The movie also stars Joaquim de Almeida, Ken Leung, Amy Landecker, and Daniel Henney.

The film is set to open in theaters on January 20th, 2023.
