Sunshine Superman is an inspiring documentary that tells the story of Carl Boenish, who is known as the father of base jumping. This is a larger than life man who dared to take on the impossible and started jumping off buildings and cliffs for sport. Boenish comes off as a goofy guy who is completely fearless. Unfortunately, that fearlessness ended up getting him killed. It seems like he sure lived his life to its fullest, though, and without limits. This definitely looks like a doc that I would enjoy watching.

A heart-racing documentary portrait of Carl Boenish, the father of the BASE-jumping movement, whose early passion for skydiving led him to ever more spectacular - and dangerous - feats of foot-launched human flight. Experience his jaw-dropping journey in life and love, to the pinnacle of his achievements when he and wife Jean broke the BASE-jumping Guinness World Record in 1984 on the Norwegian 'Troll Wall' mountain range. Incredibly, within days, triumph was followed by disaster. 

Sunshine Superman hits theaters starting on May 22nd.
