Getting lost in the woods is bad enough, but getting trapped in a forest filled with supernatural horrors that have no intention of letting you escape? That's a whole different kind of nightmare.

Guilder Cinema Group has released the final trailer for the indie survival horror thriller You Can't Leave, which follows a group of friends whose search for a missing woman leads them into a terrifying fight for their lives.

The film comes from writer and director Scott Windhauser and looks to deliver some nasty supernatural scares, with an abandoned cabin, mysterious shadow creatures, and an ancient evil lurking in the forest.

The story centers on a young man, played by Spencer Boldman, who sets out to investigate his sister's mysterious disappearance. Joined by a group of friends, including Olivia, played by Paola Andino, he ventures into a remote forest looking for answers.

Unfortunately, the group discovers that getting into the woods is much easier than getting out. They soon find themselves trapped in what appears to be a supernatural prison, where sinister entities hunt them while terrifying psychological forces begin taking their toll.

The deeper they get into the mystery, the more dangerous their situation becomes, and surviving the night means figuring out what they're dealing with before whatever is hunting them catches up.

The trailer has some serious The Evil Dead vibes, particularly with its isolated woodland setting, creepy cabin, and relentless supernatural threats. However, You Can't Leave looks to bring its own brand of paranormal terror to the experience, mixing survival horror with psychological torment.

Windhauser previously directed Dead Trigger, Cops and Robbers, Death in Texas, and Mafia Wars. Unlike many independent horror releases, You Can't Leave is heading into theaters without a known film festival premiere, giving horror fans their first opportunity to experience the movie on the big screen.

Guilder Cinema Group releases You Can't Leave in select U.S. theaters today, October 16, 2026.
