Trailer for TEACHER'S PET Sets Up a Chilling University Thriller Starring Michelle Torian
Quiver Distribution has dropped the trailer for Teacher’s Pet, an indie university-set thriller that dives headfirst into obsession, manipulation, and survival.
The film is gearing up for a VOD release this winter. The movie looks like it leans hard into psychological tension, with a smart young lead forced into a dangerous battle of wits against a deeply unsettling authority figure.
At the center of the story is Clara, played by Michelle Torian, a brilliant high school senior who’s just days away from escaping her toxic foster home and starting a new life at Yale.
That future suddenly feels fragile when she crosses paths with a new English teacher who takes a little too much interest in her academic potential. What begins as mentorship quickly curdles into something far more disturbing as his fixation grows.
As the trailer teases, Clara soon discovers that her teacher’s past is tangled up in a series of mysterious deaths. That revelation turns her situation into a deadly chess match, with Clara forced to rely on her intelligence and instincts to survive.
The official synopsis frames it as a struggle against a killer who views her as his newest “star pupil”.
Teacher’s Pet stars Torian as Clara alongside Luke Barnett as the ominous Mr. Heller. The supporting cast includes Clayton Royal Johnson, Kevin Makely, Sara Tomko, Drew Powell, Alexe-Anne Godin, Alexis DawTyne, Richard Handley, and genre icon Barbara Crampton.
The film is written and directed by Noam Kroll, who previously helmed Shadows on the Road and Disappearing Boy.
Quiver Distribution will release Teacher’s Pet direct to VOD on February 6th, 2026.
