Trailer for the 1930s Set Chinese Spy Noir Thriller CLIFF WALKERS
The first trailer has been released for an upcoming Chinese spy noir thriller titled Cliff Walkers. The movie comes from director Zhang Yimou, who has previously helmed Shadow, Hero, House of Flying Daggers, Curse of the Golden Flower, The Flowers of War, and The Great Wall,
Cliff Walkers follows “four Chinese Communist party special agents who embark on a secret mission in the 1930s puppet state of Manchukuo. After being sold out by a traitor, the team find themselves surrounded by threats on all sides.” The whole “Ice City” has become a deadly trap for the agents and “each action must be extremely prudent as their lives are in imminent danger. “
The movie looks really good and it’s set to be released in select theaters on April 30th, 2021.
