Here’s the trailer for the ‘80s-set wrestling horror movie Dark Match, which stars Chris Jericho.

In Dark Match, “A small time wrestling company accepts a well-paying but too good to be true gig in a backwoods town only to learn, too late, that the community is run by a mysterious cult leader… and their event is now a pay-per-view fight to the death.”

The film comes from writer and director Lowell Dean (WolfCop), who said in a statement: “When I wrote Dark Match I questioned if it was too crazy to get made, but within months I was on set in Edmonton, with a hard working cast and crew all pouring their (fake) blood and sweat in the wrestling ring to bring it to life.”

The movie also stars actors Ayisha Issa (Transplant) and Steven Ogg (Grand Theft Auto V, The Walking Dead), with wrestling legend Chris Jericho (Terrifier 2).

the film recently had its World Premiere at the Fantasia Film Festival.
